Traditional kitten fosters
  1. Begin FVRCP series at 6 weeks old

  2. Boost every 2-3 weeks, until 16 weeks old

  3. Rabies due at 4 months old

High-volume fosters or sheltered kittens
  1. Begin FVRCP series at 4 weeks old

  2. Boost every 2-3 weeks, until 16 weeks

  3. Rabies due at 4 months 

 
Adult cats
  1. One FVRCP vaccine, boost 2 weeks later

  1. Begin DA2PP series at 6 weeks old

  2. Boost DA2PP every 2-3 weeks, until 16 weeks old

  3. Rabies due at 4 months old

  2. Boost DA2PP every 2 weeks, until 16 weeks

  3. Palm Beach County only: Begin Influenza vaccines at 7 weeks,
    boost 2-3 weeks later

  4. Rabies due at 4 months old

  1. Adult dogs1 DA2PP, boost 2 weeks later

  2. Palm Beach County only: 1 Influenza, boost 2-3 weeks later

  3. Rabies

FVRCP

Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukopenia;

a "core vaccine" for all cats.

Veterinarians, vet techs, and vet box holders can give these vaccines.

DA2PP

Distemper, adenovirus [Type-2], parainfluenza, and parvovirus

a "core vaccine" for all dogs.

Veterinarians, vet techs, and vet box holders can give these vaccines.

RABIES

Required by State law in all dogs & cats over 16 wks old to prevent rabies infection. Only licensed veterinarians can give these vaccines.

INFLUENZA

Helps prevent canine influenza. Only needed in Palm Beach County at this time due to prevalence in the area. Can be given by administered by our vet techs & volunteers.
